Magdeburg now on the Freight Map


A first cargo flight departed Germany’s Magdeburg Cochstedt airport on Dec. 12 following the issue of a freight forwarding license by Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA), the national civil aviation authority. Cargo carrier RAF-Avia, based in Riga, Latvia, operated the inaugural service using one of the two 5.5 tonne capacity AN-26 freighters that it now has stationed at the German airport.
